Triumph introduces bigger Tiger Explorer motorcycle – Los Angeles Times
Triumph Motorcycles is continuing to breed its popular Tiger, most recently with a larger Explorer model that pushes performance both on and off road. Unveiled in Italy last month, the new Tiger Explorer is padding onto the carpet for its North American debut at the Long Beach International Motorcycle Shows expo this weekend and will announce its presence with a distinct growl.

Zero Unveils Revamped Electric Motorcycle Lineup

Electric-motorcycle maker Zero Motorcycles unveiled its line up of four battery-powered bikes for 2011
The company says one big component of that strategy was to make its products look more like other motorcycles, at least to a degree.
The Zero model range leans toward the lightweight, minimalist end of the market that includes off-road trail and motocross machines. You aren’t going to find electric-powered super sport, touring, or Harley-Davidson-like heavy cruisers in the Zero catalog. Indeed, while Zero wants its bikes to seem familiar to prospective customers, it is counting on the differences to close the deal with buyers. Continue reading
World’s hottest new motorcycles unveiled in Milan
In the U.S., we’re focused on the Los Angeles Auto Show and the press previews that go on tomorrow. But overseas, the world’s biggest motorcycle show is taking place in Milan, Italy.
That’s where 1,462 motorbike brands and aftermarket brands from 43 countries are showcasing their upcoming 2012 products. Ty VanHooydonk of the Motorcycle Industry Council in the U.S. is attending the 69th edition of the Salone Internazionale del Motociclo and he gives us this brand-by-brand view of what’s happening this year, from A to Y:
